Stereographic

"Stereographic".
(art of picturing 3-D solid bodies on a 2-D plane)
I was so amazed by it, just brilliant. Here are the works
of my favorite stereographic artist, Julien Vallee.
Be inspired!

The Berlin Reunion

On Oct 3, 2009. Millions of people filled the streets of Berlin,
Germany to watch the "The Berlin Reunion", a performance by
France's Royal de Luxe street theatre company that lasted a few days,
commemorating the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The Reunion show featured two massive marionettes,
the Big Giant, a deep-sea diver, and his niece, the Little Giantess.
The storyline of the performance has the two separated by a wall,
thrown up by "land and sea monsters". The Big Giant has just
returned from a long and difficult but successful journey to destroy
the wall, and now the two are walking the streets of Berlin,
seeking each other after many years apart to reunite.

Traitalisman

I have finally re-packaged the recipe flip books for my first project.
Thanks to the exhibition coming on 22 Sep, some of us have work
full speed to polish up the work. I count myself lucky as I only
need to re-package it to a "professional" standard.
(you know the one with limited funds). Anyhow, its every one's
first time exhibiting so I guess it is, kind of exciting.

Which modern philosopher are you?

I am David Hume

You are David Hume, the well-known empiricist.

You believe experience is the only way to gain knowledge,

yet you do not believe in the power of human reason.

You are skeptical of almost everything, and believe that

moral precepts are merely human sentiments.

You like to question and attack conventional wisdom

and make shocking statements, such as the infamous

problem of induction and is-ought problem.

You do not believe in religion, and is known mostly for

asking questions than giving answers.

Love of Siam in Singapore

Finally.
It sure does take a long period to get it showing here on this little island.
Only certain theatres will be screening the movie and it's M18?!
I have watched the movie two years back and....I do not understand why M18.
This movie only has two teenage boy kissing like a minute or two.
I still felt that it's a shame only 18ages up are allowed.
I personally think that teenagers, maybe like 16ages and above should watch it.
The best Thai drama movie ever made for now.

White Winter Hymnal

I was following the pack all swallowed in their coats
with scarves of red tied ’round their throats
to keep their little heads from fallin’ in the snow
And I turned ’round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall and turn the white snow
red as strawberries in the summertime....

Volunteer!

LASALLE Opening on 27 May 2009.
I was one of the tour guides yesterday.
We had to keep on rehearsing to get the points right.
My end result was pretty good.
I didn't stumble or went blank in front of the VIPs.
The journey was really hilarious.
One of them even went off for beers.
The campus look magnificent last night.

These posters are designed by me for Sembawang Public Library.
The event is "Father & Child Photo Contest".
My upcoming event would be the "International Museum Day" @ SAM on 31st May!

Personality Test - 98% Accuracy!

Your view on yourself:

You are down-to-earth and people like you because you are so
straightforward. You are an efficient problem solver because
you will listen to both sides of an argument before making a decision
that usually appeals to both parties.

(I love to balance.lol)

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:

You like serious, smart and determined people.
You don't judge a book by its cover,
so good-looking people aren't necessarily your style.
This makes you an attractive person in many people's eyes.

(Yes, I still prefer talented ones. Nothing else matters)

Your readiness to commit to a relationship:

You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person.
And you believe you will pretty much know as soon
as you meet that person.

(My god! That is so me. I'm not the kind who dates around.lol)

The seriousness of your love:

Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex.
In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive,
so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

(Is it?)

Your views on education

Education is very important in life.
You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

(I would rather die if I do not have a proper education.)

The right job for you:

You have plenty of dream jobs but have little chance of
doing any of them if you don't focus on something in particular.
You need to choose something and go for it to be
happy and achieve success.

(Test, you do read my mind.)

How do you view success:

You are confident that you will be successful in your chosen career
and nothing will stop you from trying.

(*nods vigorously)

What are you most afraid of:

You are concerned about your image and the way others see you.
This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people.
It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

(This is common.)

Who is your true self:

You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice.
People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues.
Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped
with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve.

(First sentence is accurate. Second, people don't really ask me.)
(Lastly, it's genetic.)

Debrief

Greetings to everyone!
I just came back from the debrief held at school today.
I was flabbergasted by my CCS grade, a D-.
Anyway, I am so over of all this grade system.
I am positive for a better grade next semester.
I can't simply get derided and give up just like that.

Back to where I left off.
School is out and summer is kicking in soon.
I do have a list of objective for this summer.
I need to get a brand new personal computer,
the one I am currently using has just reached it's 10Th Birthday!

NHB have sent me an e-mail regarding the volunteer interview.
Wish me luck on that!
It is a difficult time to find a job and one which really suits myself.
If there's no job! I will volunteer then! No worries!
I am not the kind who sits at home and let my brain sleep thru summer.
That is very unhealthy. I would like to remain sane.

I am looking forward to a few events happening soon, like the Art Visit,
LASALLE Opening, so on and so forth.
My piano needs to be tune too, the sound is really "off the chart".
I want to spend more time with it too or else I would get rusty fingers.

One thing I really wish I could accomplish is to study facial expressions
and involuntary body language to discover not only if someone is lying, but why.
.
I would love to be a freelance deception expert
in future.
Inspired by a drama series.

Initially, I was lost on how I am going to spend my summer.
Now everything will be in place soon.
Just need more luck!
Did I mention that The Sims 3 is coming out on June?
That is something I am looking forward too! lol

"Cry "Havoc," and let slip the dogs of war".

Julius Caesar The Play @ LASALLE
This was my first play experience. It's neither good nor bad.
The casts were great definitely but some secondary school boys
went to watch as well and they were so restless through out the play
that i was so frustrated with them. We left during the interval.
It was average. It might be better if there were some music
every now and then to build up the ambiance.
I kind of regret watching it because NINE seems more seductive.

Doomed Love by Virgil
Received a call from Kinokuniya yesterday evening saying
that the book i ordered is here. The other time i went there
thinking to order this book but the staff said the publisher
has no more stock and asked me to order at Amazon.com instead.
How hilarious.
These days, i have been spending all my money on books.
It is a good investment. It can be pass on and some books might not
even be printed anymore in the future.
At least i am not so "poor" till
i can't afford some decent books. Unlike "some" people. Oh well.

Hypocrisy

wicked
and being good at all time. That would be hypocrisy."
